Wat Phra That Lampang Luang is a historical temple and an important archaeological site located in the area of the ancient city of Lampang. The main Buddha image enshrined in the temple is a Chiang Saen styled Phra Kaew Don Tao which is widely revered by the people of Lampang and the Buddhist community in general.

It has an origin as far back as 1200 years in Northern Thailand. This batch of Phra Rod is made from soil from 4 directions, along with another thousand types of flower pollens and mass consecrated using ancient spells.
