This amulet was made and consecrated by Phrakru Udom, the 7th abbot of Wat Takong, a historical temple built in Buddhist year 2225 which shot to stardom under the leadership of its 4th abbot Luang Phor Chaem Inthachoto. Sacred objects originating from Wat Takong are highly sought after.

Kumanthongs originating from Wat Takong were made famous and popular by the 4th abbot Luang Phor Chaem who used ancient spells. Since then, subsequent abbots have also adhered to the tradition. This batch of Kumanthong Durak was made and consecrated by the 6th abbot Phrakhru Phatarakitrangsan in Buddhist year 2532.
